When it comes to kids’ favorite travel destinations, theme parks are definitely at the top of the list! Once you step into a theme park, it’s like entering a happy paradise that just makes you smile. Today we’re introducing Window on World Theme Park – an absolutely adorable theme park!
Window on World Theme Park is one of Taiwan’s classic family destinations. The park is basically divided into three main sections: Miniature Building Models, Thrilling Amusement Rides, and the Summer Water Park. What makes this park special is its exquisitely detailed miniature world model area, featuring super cute mini replicas of famous landmarks and attractions from around the world! Of course, besides these adorable models, the fun and exciting rides are also visitor favorites!
Plus, the park is spacious and comfortable with lush greenery and fresh air – there’s even a tea plantation on the grounds! Window on World Theme Park aims to create a family-friendly paradise that’s perfect for toddlers, so there are toddler rides and attractions Taiwan, multiple nursing rooms and rest areas throughout the park, plus stroller rental services. Even if you’re bringing a 3-year-old, you can enjoy the park with ease.

PART 1 | Miniature World: Exquisite 1:25 Scale Replicas
Window on World is truly a children’s paradise – almost every kid who enters can’t help but break into a smile. The park’s most captivating feature is its over 100 exquisite miniature buildings, each built to a precise 1:25 scale of real architecture, not the more common 1:15 scale you see elsewhere. This attention to detail is all about showcasing the intricate architectural details – after all, if you shrink them too small, you lose all the fine details. There’s also the “Mini World” exhibition area, which brings together miniature versions of the world’s top 100 landmarks in one place, taking kids on a journey through time and around the world, making learning history and geography both real and fun.
The miniature models aren’t all clustered in one spot though – they’re organized by theme across different areas. Here are the main 5 zones:
- Mini Taiwan Area: From Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall to the Alishan Forest Railway, recreating nearly a century of Taiwan’s history and culture, showcasing local architectural beauty.
- Mini China Area: Featuring historical scenes and classical architecture like the Great Wall and Chengqi Building, combined with historical figures and legends for educational fun.
- Mini Asia Area: Religious and cultural heritage sites like Todaiji Temple and Bulguksa Temple come together, letting you experience the rich foundation of Asian civilization.
- Mini Europe Area: From Greek temples and Gothic cathedrals to St. Basil’s Cathedral, it’s like walking through a corridor of European architectural history.
- Mini Americas Area: Iconic buildings like the Statue of Liberty, Washington Monument, and Kukulkan Pyramid all in one go.

PART 2 | Rides: From Bumper Cars to Free Fall
Window on World Theme Park originally only displayed miniature models, but after adding themed amusement rides, the fun factor totally skyrocketed! Combining cute model viewing with rides was really a brilliant idea. The park has 19 rides cleverly divided by age group and thrill level. For toddlers and young kids, there are flying planes, jumping stars, strawberry Ferris wheel, bumper cars, carousel, and mini train. The park tour train takes visitors speeding through Longtan’s famous Longquan tea plantation where you can smell the fresh tea fragrance! These are all gentle rides perfect for visitors who don’t like intense thrills.
For teens and adults who love speed and excitement, you can challenge the pirate ship, roller coaster, and free fall rides for that heart-pumping rush of high-speed spins and free falls. Indoor rides include a musical carousel, indoor roller coaster, and kids’ bumper cars, so even rainy days won’t dampen the fun.

PART 3 | WOW Splash Water Park: Summer-Only Water Paradise
Every year from June to September, there’s also a limited-time water park that transforms Window on World into an all-ages aquatic playground! However, the exact opening dates each year depend on the latest announcements on the official website, since the dates aren’t fixed and vary slightly each year.
The summer-limited “WOW Splash Water Park+” covers over about 7,000 sq ft with free access to various water attractions and dreamy scenes – it’s the must-visit aquatic paradise every summer! The area features several popular attractions, including the pink fantasy-themed “BOBO Republic” with inflatable slides, pools, and flying ponies – perfect for Instagram photos! “Big Thunderstorm 2.0” features super cooling waterfalls and colorful water channels with Cool SPA design where water jets provide instant relief from the heat. There’s also the fun and challenging “Crazy Laboratory” water slide maze that both kids and adults can enjoy. Thrill-seekers can’t miss the 12-story high giant wave facility “Thunder Wave” and the splash-in-your-face “Nile Beach” for the ultimate summer rush!

Park Performances: Original Stage Shows & Interactive Kids’ Dance
Besides all the rides, Window on World Theme Park puts on multiple exciting shows daily, including original stage productions and interactive dances like “Happy Cowboy Show,” “Delicious Magic Candy,” and “Friends’ Gathering.” The park has two main performance venues – the European Castle Stage and European Lawn.
These are among the most popular experiences during a park visit, and the performances run year-round, so you don’t have to worry about missing out (though they do take breaks during severe weather or government-mandated shutdowns – this info is always posted on the official website). How to Get to Window on World Theme Park?
Window on World Theme Park is located in Longtan District, Taoyuan, with quite convenient transportation. For self-driving visitors, the park has a large parking lot with plenty of spaces, perfect for family road trips – just navigate to “Taoyuan Longtan Window on World Theme Park” before departing.
1. High-Speed Rail / Taiwan Railway Routes High-Speed Rail: Take the HSR to Taoyuan Station (southbound) or Hsinchu Station (northbound), then take a taxi directly to the park (recommend calculating fare with maps before departure).
Taiwan Railway: Take Taiwan Railway to Zhongli Station, then catch Yatong Bus Route 5653 right outside the station, which goes directly to the park.
2. MRT Route Take Taoyuan MRT to A21 Huanbei Station, then transfer to city bus to Zhongli Station, followed by Yatong Bus Route 5653 directly to the park. Or take a taxi from the MRT station to the park.
3. Direct Bus from Taipei Visitors from Taipei can take Taiwan Bus (Route 5350) directly to the park, with stops including: Songshan Airport (recommended boarding point) > Nanjing-Dunhua Intersection > MRT Zhongxiao Dunhua Station > Chenggong Community > Gongguan > Xiulang Elementary > Zhiguang Commercial > MRT Jing’an Station > Longtan Terminal > Window on World Theme Park
※ During holidays, buses get crowded, so it’s recommended to board at MRT Zhongxiao Dunhua Station or earlier stops.
4. Local Routes from Zhongli/Longtan From Zhongli or Longtan city areas to the park, you can directly take Yatong Bus Route 5653 to the park. Visitors from other counties can first take the train to Zhongli Station, then transfer to Yatong Bus Route 5653 across from the station directly to the park.
Of course, if you’re starting from Taipei, chartered transport is the most convenient option. Oh, and if you’re planning to visit the summer water park, don’t forget to bring sunscreen, hats, swimwear, and change of clothes.
As one of Taiwan’s longest-running theme parks, Window on World has continuously maintained and updated its facilities and content. For safety reasons, the mechanical rides undergo regular safety inspections, so sometimes certain attractions might be closed. Therefore, remember to check the official website to see if any rides are under maintenance that day to avoid disappointment!
